Responsibilities

As the administrative head of Mille Lacs County, the County Administrator is responsible for overall County operations management, facilities management, and personnel management. This involves the execution of:

  • All decisions, policies, ordinances, and resolutions of the County Board
  • All laws of the state required to be enforced by the County Board

Administrative Services is also responsible for the prudent management of fiscal resources. 

Departments reporting directly to the County Administrator include: 

  • The Assessor's Office
  • Community and Veterans Services
  • Land Services
  • Public Works

Services

The Administrative Services Office also provides services pertaining to vital statistics, such as recording land transfers and providing copies of birth certificates. Staff can also help residents with genealogy requests.

Staff to County Board

The Administrative Services Office serves as staff to the County Board to:

  • Assist with constituent services
  • Develop policy proposals
  • Prepare agendas
  • Provide general support
  • Record official Board proceedings
